Skykomish River Fishing

The Skykomish River system (or the Sky as the locals call it) is 43 miles long and is the drainage for 535 sq. miles of the Sky Valley. The river starts high in the Cascade Mountains with the North Fork of the Sky and the South Fork of the Sky.

The confluence of these two rivers is a mile south of Index Washington. From this point the river runs west through the foothills of the Cascade Mountains where you can see deer,

otter and a occasional bear, while bald eagles and osprey look down at you from there perches high in the trees of the forested setting until it joins with the Snoqualmie River to create the Snohomish River.

The Sky supports runs of both summer and winter Steel Head along with healthy runs of King, Silver, Chums, and Pink salmon. Not to mention the Cut Throat and Dollies. This is all within 1.5 hours of Seattle.

Come and enjoy the beauty and adventure this river has to offer with us.

About Peter Gott - Fishing Guide

Peter Gott Cascade Fishing Guide

I lived the first 22 years of my life in Kennebunkport, Maine fishing Stripe Bass from a rowboat and off of the dock near my house where I grew up.

At the age of ten, I was taken under the wing of an outstanding sport fisherman and was taught to fish big mouth bass and trout in the small streams and ponds of Southern Maine.

At 22, I made my way to Pacific North West and found a job on a fishing boat out of Alaska. I got a taste of some of Alaska superb salmon fishing in Dutch Harbor.

After retiring from the commercial fishing industry, I started to white water raft all over the great North West, Canada, and New Zealand. I soon discovered the peace and tranquility that comes along with fishing steelhead and salmon from a drift boat. In 2003, I opened my business hoping to share what I love with people from all over the world.

"Kenmore's success is due not just to its aptitude with seaplanes but the business practices and ethics of the company's founder, Bob Munro" - C. Martin Faure, The Boeing Co.
